Recently in intro to Ed we have had the opertuinitie to create, and present our first mini-teach. I shared what I know about Halloween, and added math into it, teaching simple fourth grade multiplaction skill.
I was thankful that I got to share with the people in my class about Halloween, and how I would teach Multiplying equations. I did Halloween because it is my favorite Holiday and I wanted to share that with people, and share my teaching and math skills. I wanted to do fourth grade because their in the middle of everything, also fourth grade was my favorite year and I loved learning how to multiply.
I think I could of teached better but there's always room for improvement, I wish I would of talked differently, and worded things differently. Halloween is one of the best and easiest holidays to do it on because a lot of kids like it more, because it is more fun and crazy.
For my next mini lesson I will be more prepared. I know what works and what doesn't, and I know what I can improve on for my Thanksgiving mini lesson.
